Pickled Sweet Onions
Marinade:
½ Cup Sugar
½ Cup White Vinegar
1 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 t. Dry Mustard
½ t. Red Pepper
Salt to Taste
To prepare the marinade, dissolve sugar in vinegar, and then add oil, followed by
spices. Add peeled and sliced onions, separated into rings (be sure you have
enough liquid to cover the onions). Let marinate 12 to 24 hours.
